In April 2026, Tania de Jong AM had the honour of joining world-renowned trauma expert Dr Bessel van der Kolk (USA), author of the global bestseller The Body Keeps the Score, on his sold-out Australian workshop tour. Presented by Mind Medicine Australia and Activate Media Events, the tour brought Dr van der Kolk’s groundbreaking work on trauma, neuroscience and the body to sell-out audiences in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne, drawing more than 7,000 attendees across major civic venues including Sydney Town Hall, Brisbane City Hall, Norwood Concert Hall and St Kilda Town Hall.

Tania performed alongside acclaimed trauma educator Licia Sky and musician Benny Holloway, lending her voice and healing resonance to help participants connect with creativity, breath and emotional integration throughout the full-day workshops. The events explored the neuroscience of trauma, attachment and self-awareness, and body-centred healing modalities including movement, voice, theatre and psychedelic-assisted therapies — offering clinicians, trauma-informed professionals and members of the public a rare, immersive experience in post-traumatic growth and nervous system regulation.

Importantly, 50% of profits from the tour are being directed to Mind Medicine Australia’s Patient Support Fund, helping Australians in financial hardship access psychedelic-assisted therapy. It was a profound privilege to contribute to these vital conversations on trauma, healing and human potential — and a reminder of how music and connection can be part of the healing journey.
