Tania de Jong AM Named a Finalist in the 2026 Australian Women in Music Awards

I’m honoured to share that I’ve been named a finalist in the Tina Arena Special Impact Award at the 2026 Australian Women in Music Awards (AWMA), a recognition that celebrates unsung champions making a lasting impact across the Australian music industry.

This award holds special meaning for me. My belief in the power of voice and music to heal, connect and transform has shaped everything I’ve created – from over three decades on stage with Pot-Pourri and founding The Song Room and Creativity Australia’s With One Voice social inclusion choirs to co-founding Mind Medicine Australia, where music continues to play a role in helping people heal from trauma and mental illness.

The AWMA ceremony will be held on Thursday 27 May 2027 at Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane, alongside the inaugural AWMA Conference.

Congratulations to my fellow finalists, and thank you to the Australian Women in Music Awards for this wonderful acknowledgement.

Tania de Jong AM Performs ‘La Voix Magique’ at Abbaye de Silvacane, France

Tania de Jong AM took the stage at the breathtaking 12th-century Abbaye de Silvacane in La Roque d’Anthéron, France, for a magical evening of song, “La Voix Magique.” Performing alongside long-time collaborators Jonathan Morton (baritone) and Anthony Di Giantomasso (piano), marking 30 years of making music together.

Tania, Jonathan and Anthony delighted a captivated audience with a programme spanning Puccini, Piaf, Mozart, Gershwin and more inside the abbey’s ancient stone walls. The audience gave two standing ovations!

All proceeds from the evening supported Centre Ressource Aix-en-Provence, a vital resource centre for people and families living with cancer.

Tania Performed at the Abbaye de Silvacane, France

Last week, I had the great honour of performing a truly special concert at the breathtaking Abbaye de Silvacane in Provence, France.

This sacred, centuries-old space held a powerful stillness — and as I sang, something magical unfolded. Surrounded by ancient stone, candlelight, and an extraordinary audience, I poured my heart and soul into every note.

And then… two standing ovations.
It’s a moment I will never forget.

The response from the audience and the organisers touched me deeply.

TANIA PERFORMING IN PROVENCE, FRANCE

Tania recently presented concerts in Provence, France. She played to a packed out ancient Church in Murs.

“What a beautiful moment! Tania de Jong gave a concert on Sunday July 28 in the Romanesque church of Murs-en-Provence. It was a truly beautiful moment! We really enjoyed hearing her beautiful and expressive soprano voice interpreting different spiritual operatic and popular songs. Her presentation was unanimously appreciated by the large audience, who requested multiple encores! Tania also has the unique ability of allowing the public to participate and she creates friendship, fraternal connection and a beautiful ambience. We recommend her warmly and express much gratitude for her help to the Association des amis de l’église de Murs.”
